Claudine Martin originally trained in modern languages, attaining a BA honours degree from New York University. Following the birth of her first child, she became increasingly interested in helping women achieve a natural birth and trained as a childbirth educator and postnatal doula. Her interest in a holistic lifestyle led her to become a Reiki practitioner and lay herbalist. As her children became more independent, Claudine was able to devote more time to her passions - food and healthy living- and went down the route of nutritional therapy achieving a distinction in her diploma from the School of Modern Naturopathy founded by Linda Lazarides, one of the most recognised British naturopathic nutritionists.
In her free time, Claudine enjoys travelling and spending time with her family, practices yoga, is an accomplished genealogist, enjoys growing her own vegetables and loves to cook!
Claudine is a fully insured and licensed practitioner (Balens). She is registered with FNTP (Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners), which requires her to abide by their strict code of ethics.
"During pregnancy with my first child, I became conscious of the conflicting choices that we have to make about our health on a daily basis. I wanted my children to be healthier than I was and read as much as possible about nutrition, pregnancy, birth and babycare like most new mothers. However, for me it became a lifelong pursuit, which led me to a diploma course in Naturopathic Nutrition." Claudine
